Nintendo unveils Pokémon Pokopia bundle for Switch 2
A new bundle for the Nintendo Switch 2 is set to launch soon. Starting July 2, Pokémon trainers in Europe can grab a Switch 2 bundle that includes Pokémon Pokopia, the spinoff reminiscent of Dragon Quest Builders that debuted in March.
This bundle features the launch model of the Switch 2 along with a digital download of Pokémon Pokopia, priced at £429.99/€499.99. It’s worth noting that the Switch 2 will see a price increase of €30 to €499.99 on September 1, making this bundle a solid deal for anyone planning to dive into Pokopia. Plus, it boasts the most eye-catching box design for the Switch 2 yet, complete with a quirky Ditto on the side!
Even with the upcoming price hike, European gamers might want to hold off a bit longer. A new version of the Switch 2 is expected, featuring user-replaceable batteries due to new consumer protection regulations. This model isn’t slated for release until early next year, when the Switch 2 will already be priced at €499.99.
In the U.S., Nintendo fans eager to upgrade to the Switch 2 have their own bundle options. “While supplies last,” players can snag a Switch 2 along with a digital download of either Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bananza, or Pokémon Pokopia for $499.99. This means you’ll effectively save $20 on Bananza or Pokopia, or $30 on the $79.99 Mario Kart World.
Pokémon Pokopia launched on March 5 and quickly became a standout title for the Switch 2, earning high praise. While some found it a bit grindy, it still delivered an enjoyable experience. It serves as a heartfelt reminder to care for our world and the small details within it. If you find yourself captivated by Pokémon Pokopia, expansions are already in the works.
With Pokémon Pokopia, the Switch 2 finally has a true system seller — but that’s just the beginning!
