The Most Cringe-Worthy Ways to Meet Your End in Overwatch

With a roster boasting over 50 heroes, there are countless ways to meet your demise in Overwatch. From bullets and bludgeoning to being knocked off a bridge or run over by a car, the options are plentiful. But environmental dangers extend beyond just perilous drops and speeding vehicles; thanks to the latest map, you can now add bees to the list.

Neon Junction is the new Hybrid map set in Japan, aligning with the ongoing narrative centered around Shion and the Hashimoto clan. The map is rich with Japanese cultural elements, including a massive statue reminiscent of a certain mecha anime, and a quaint building housing wooden beehives.

At first glance, these hives might seem like mere background decoration, but if you decide to unleash your weapons or abilities on them, the bees will swarm out and sting you. Yes, those stings do inflict actual damage, albeit minimal. You’ll need to stand still and let them have their way for the damage to really register. If you find yourself seeking refuge in this area with low health after a tough skirmish, it’s entirely possible that the bees could end up on the kill feed for taking you down.

Having grown up in a wooded area, I learned early on that if you leave bees alone, they’ll do the same for you. But as a curious kid, I had to test that theory by waving my hand near a swarm, and surprise, they stung me. This is a classic case of “mess around and find out.” The same principle applies in Overwatch: steer clear of those bees, and your K/D ratio will thank you.
