Pokopia Plushies of Adorable Pokémon Are Flying Off the Shelves

Pokémon plushies are flying off the shelves, and the latest batch is no exception. A trio of new stuffed Pokémon linked to this year’s charming life sim, Pokopia, has just been revealed and is already selling out fast. If any of these adorable plushies catch your eye, you’ll want to act quickly.

The three new releases feature the cute plush figures of Peakychu, Mosslax, and Professor Tangrowth. Announced just yesterday, June 24, the Peakychu plush is already sold out. It’s no surprise, given the Pokémon’s unexpectedly heartwarming storyline in the recent Switch 2 game, which has made her a fan favorite. While Mosslax and Professor Tangrowth are also incredibly charming, it’s tough to compete with the popularity of any Pikachu variant. If you missed out on Peakychu, the other two plushies are still available on the Pokémon Center website for $34.99.

In addition to the plushies, there’s a wide range of Jirachi-themed merchandise. Although not officially confirmed, the timing of these items aligns with the new “Wish Upon a Jirachi” event in Pokopia, running from June 23 at 5 a.m. until July 8 at 4:59 a.m., based on your Nintendo Switch 2’s console time. The Jirachi merch focuses on sleep, featuring pajamas and blankets as the main offerings.

Pokémon Pokopia launched on March 5, taking a fresh approach to the series by diving into the life-sim genre popularized by titles like Animal Crossing and Dragon Quest Builders. Our review noted that while it can be a bit lengthy, it serves as a heartfelt reminder to appreciate our world and the little things in it.

Developers Game Freak and Omega Force have already outlined plans for post-launch DLC. During the June 2026 Nintendo Direct, they announced a new biome, Bubbly Basin, set to release in August. This update will introduce the move Dive, allowing players to explore underwater. The new region appears to be inspired by Cerulean City from the Kanto region, suggesting it could be quite expansive. While Pokopia doesn’t strictly adhere to the geography of previous games, there are many similarities, so Bubbly Basin might also incorporate parts of routes 24, 25, and even 5. The addition of Dive should enable players to explore watery areas of the base game as well, and here’s hoping Bubbly Basin avoids the pitfalls of being just another frustrating water level in gaming.

Pokémon Pokopia is available on Nintendo Switch 2.

Pokopia offers much more than just a Pokémon-themed version of Animal Crossing.
