Trump Mobile Now Available for $499

Where’s the Trump phone? We’re going to keep discussing it weekly. We still haven’t received the phones we preordered, but this week the T1 is available for open sale, with no deposit needed.

The Trump Mobile T1 Phone is now up for grabs by anyone interested. Previously, it was only available to a select group of preorder customers — and some are still waiting for their devices — but now you can snag one without having to put down a $100 deposit.

A recent update on the Trump Mobile website, noted by Android Authority, allows you to purchase the phone directly for $499 instead of making an initial deposit. However, the website update seems a bit haphazard: one page still suggests you can “join the waitlist” for the phone, while the homepage prompts you to “get in line now” and still references the outdated $100 deposit.

It’s uncertain how quickly you’ll actually receive the phone. There’s limited evidence that Trump Mobile has shipped more than a few devices to customers so far, and anyone ordering today might still have to wait for the company to fulfill existing orders first. Or maybe not! This company is unpredictable.

If you’re looking to buy a T1 Phone today, it will cost you $499 plus tax. Trump Mobile still labels this as “promotional pricing,” but there’s no indication yet of the price increase that was mentioned back in February. We don’t know when the T1 Phone’s price will change or how much it will eventually be, though it was indicated that it would be “less than $1,000.”

For those keeping score, I’m excited to share that as of this week, we’ve fully paid for both of our phones, but we’re still waiting for any confirmation of shipment. Any guesses on when they’ll actually arrive?
