Asian Champions League Achieves 380 Million Views and 23 Million Hours of Watch Time

Hero Esports, previously known as VSPO, revealed that the 2026 Asian Champions League (ACL) attracted over 380 million total views, with nearly 23 million viewers tuning in for Dota 2, Counter-Strike 2, and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.

The tournament took place from May 1 to May 24 in Shanghai, featuring offline competitions at the Jixi Showground in Yangpu District and the Star Ring Center in Minhang District. According to Hero Esports, the event comprised eight days of live matches and 18 days of online broadcasts. It was streamed in multiple languages across five major Chinese platforms: Bilibili, Douyin, DouYu, Huya, and Kuaishou.

The ACL also acted as a qualifying event for the 2026 Esports World Cup, set to occur from July to August in Paris, France. Vici Gaming clinched the Dota 2 title, LVG (Lynn Vision Gaming) took home the Counter-Strike 2 championship, and GZG (Guangzhou Gaming) emerged victorious in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, with all three teams earning spots in their respective EWC-linked competitions.

Hero Esports highlighted the commercial and venue ecosystem surrounding the tournament. Strategic partners included the Esports World Cup, Jinjiang International Group, Jing Dong, AutoFull, and ZOWIE. Xuperman was the official apparel partner, while Red Bull served as the functional beverage partner.

Jinjiang International Group facilitated hotel accommodations, local transport, and travel booking services. The event also featured offline brand activations, including a visit from both domestic and international players to a Xuperman retail location in Shanghai for a table-tennis-themed experience.

For Hero Esports, these impressive figures position the ACL as a significant multi-title regional event aimed at connecting Asian esports audiences, teams, and commercial partners with the larger Esports World Cup ecosystem. The company framed the event as part of a broader model encompassing culture, commerce, tourism, and exhibitions centered around live esports in Shanghai.
