Unlocking All 28 Outfits in Black Flag Resynced: A Complete Guide
In Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, collecting all the outfits is a bit of a challenge, but for different reasons than before. While most outfits can still be purchased from merchants or crafted, some have mysteriously changed locations.
Take the beloved Crimson Cloak, for instance; it’s no longer found at the General Store. Similarly, loyalty outfits like Ezio’s robes are now tied to specific quests. The remake also incorporates elements from Shadows, adding another layer of complexity to your outfit collection.
What intrigues me most about the Black Flag remake is the blend of familiar and new elements. Revisiting the game after all these years, now with a fresh coat of paint, has revealed surprises on my journey to complete the open world. What I thought I knew inside and out feels fresh again.
There are 26 outfits to unlock in Resynced, or 28 if you include the exclusive pre-order and Deluxe Edition bundles. You’ll automatically receive at least two outfits early in the story. You start with Duncan Walpole’s Robes for your trip to Havana, and after leaving, Cap’n Kenway will modify them to unlock Edward Kenway’s Robes. Unlike the original, you can switch back to Duncan’s Assassin robes if you prefer.
If you pre-ordered the game, you can equip Blackbeard’s Crimson Outfit, and those with the Master Assassin pack (included in the Deluxe Edition) will also have access to the black and gold robes of the same name.
Fans of the original will notice some surprising omissions, despite claims that all legacy outfits would return. For instance, the Officer and Explorer outfits, along with Ezio’s and Altair’s robes, are missing. However, I suspect the latter two will eventually appear in the Exchange store, similar to Connor’s outfit.
Here’s a rundown of the outfits you need to unlock:
The first outfit, the Brown Cloak, can be found in a large chest located in the Governor’s compound in the southeast of Havana, Dry Tortuga, at coordinates 204,573. You can grab this while sneaking around during the main mission or return later.
You can purchase it for 600 Reales from the General Store after completing the main mission This Old Cove to liberate Great Inagua, Gibara. It’s essentially the Brown Cloak but features a cool skull design on the back.
Loot the chest in the ocean off the northeast coast of Sacrifice Island, Conttoyor, at coordinates 18,547. It will be marked when you use the nearby sync point.
You can buy it for 3,000 Reales from the General Store after completing the Sequence 4 main mission Overrun and Outnumbered.
Build the Treasure Dealer at Great Inagua, Gibara, after completing the Sequence 4 main mission This Old Cove, and trade the necessary items.
Masquerade as the infamous merchant (or gentleman pirate) Stede Bonnet by looting the largest chest on the east hill of Mystery Island in the far east of Navassa, at coordinates 913,123.
Part of The Black Island DLC pack from the original game, this content is included in the remake. Loot the large chest overlooking the shore in the hills north of Black Island, northeast Gibara, at coordinates 915,618.
Complete the Ambergris Key buried treasure map. You can find the map next to the campfire on the northeastern beach of Corozal, western Chinchorro (31,230). Then head to Ambergris Key, southern Chinchorro (30,157) to collect the chest.
Complete the Anotto Bay buried treasure map. You can get the map by looting the warehouse in the northwest of Havana (205,600), then sail to Anotto Bay, northeast Charlotte (590,245) to collect the chest. This outfit was available immediately from the General Store in the original game.
Complete the Isla Providencia buried treasure map. Grab the map from the warehouse in the south of Nassau (594,750). You then need to progress the main story until you gain access to Isla Providencia, where you’ll find the buried treasure near boat wrecks on the southern beach (487,11).
Just like in the original game, you need to complete 16 of the Assassin Contracts. You’ll earn the Stealth Outfit and the Hidden Ones Sigil legendary trinket. Completing every contract will reward you with the legendary Spring-Steel Swords.
You’ll receive a stylish red overcoat as a disguise during the Sequence 12 main mission Governor No Longer, and you’ll keep it afterward.
Find all 16 Mayan stones to complete the Mayan Mysteries side quest and unlock the door on Tulum.
After completing Sequence 3: A Single Madman and acquiring Julien du Casse’s Templar Key, finish the four Templar Hunts and use the keys from each to open the gate in the manor in Great Inagua, Gibara.
To obtain Edward’s Master Assassin robes, complete the Art Lover quest by collecting art, such as paintings from raiding warehouses, ship models from boarding enemy vessels, and sculptures from chests or merchants.
Fully restore and upgrade every building at your base, including the manor, in Great Inagua, Gibara, which unlocks after finishing This Old Cove. You’ll need plenty of resources and Reales, so don’t expect to complete this quickly.
Reach level 12 in the Riptides Animus Project to unlock Naoe’s outfit from Shadows. This is a free battle pass that progresses by earning and spending Data Fragments, which contain items available in both Black Flag Resynced and Shadows.
Reach level 12 in the Undertow Animus Project to unlock Yasuke’s outfit from Shadows. This is also a free battle pass that progresses by earning and spending Data Fragments.
Reach level 18 in the Eye in the Dark Animus Project, a free battle pass that progresses by completing Anomaly challenges. Unlike the other Projects, all rewards here are exclusive to Black Flag Resynced.
To get Connor’s robes from Assassin’s Creed 3, purchase them for 3,000 Keys from the Animus Exchange store. This serves as the replacement for Uplay challenges, which previously housed legacy Assassin outfits.
