Kingdom Hearts Fans Excited for Upcoming D23 Panel Announcement
Every year, Disney hosts D23, an event where they unveil upcoming movies, TV shows, toys, and occasionally video games. This year’s gathering is just around the corner, and Kingdom Hearts fans have a reason to be excited. A panel dedicated to the beloved Square Enix and Disney crossover RPG series will celebrate its 25th anniversary. Could this be the moment we finally get new details about Kingdom Hearts IV?
According to Disney’s announcement, the “Deep Dive into Kingdom Hearts” panel is set for August 15 at 4:30 p.m. Pacific Time. It promises insights from some of the creative leads and voice actors who have brought the series to life:
Join us for a journey through light and darkness as we commemorate 25 years of KINGDOM HEARTS. Discover how this saga united Disney, Pixar, and Square Enix, with insights from the creative minds, character voices, and more behind the magic.
While several panels have confirmed lineups featuring iconic Disney talent like Jodi Benson from The Little Mermaid and Bret Iwan, the voice of Mickey Mouse, the Kingdom Hearts panel hasn’t revealed any specific names yet. This leaves fans wondering who from the series will be present. There’s a lot of Disney talent expected, but the big question remains: who from Square Enix will attend, and will they share any new information about Kingdom Hearts IV or even unveil a trailer?
Although we still lack a release window for KH4, it seems Square Enix is gearing up to bring the game back into the spotlight, especially after releasing a new trailer for the highly anticipated sequel last month during Nintendo’s Switch 2 summer Direct. Here’s hoping it’s closer to release than we think, as it would be great to avoid any delays related to PlayStation’s 2028 end of physical discs phase.
