Where to Find Ancient Bone in Palworld

Finding Ancient Bone in Palworld can be a bit of a challenge if you haven’t realized that each of the three ancient materials is sourced from the wildlife sanctuaries scattered across the islands. These sanctuaries are easily identifiable thanks to their large shield domes, but you’ll need to tread carefully and avoid their guardians while you gather resources.

Only one sanctuary holds Ancient Bone, so you’ll need to make your way there to craft those stylish accessories that require it.

You can locate Ancient Bone in the No.3 Wildlife Sanctuary, which is situated northeast of the Dessicated Desert, located in the northeastern part of the game’s starting islands. It’s quite noticeable, as it features a prominent blue dome shield visible from afar. To get there, fast travel to the Deep Sand Dunes in the northern section of the desert (make sure to bring heat resistance for daytime and cold resistance for nighttime) and then use a flying or aquatic pal to reach the sanctuary.

If this is your first time in a wildlife sanctuary, be cautious of the patrol crafts flying overhead. Stay clear of their red spotlights while you’re inside the dome. The resource node you’re after is a skeleton, specifically a ribcage, which you can mine to obtain Ancient Bone.

You can use any mining tool, including pickaxes, but I recommend opting for something quicker if you can, as your mining time is limited while dodging the patrolling ships and the aggressive pals that inhabit the island.
