Sony pushes back the release of its upcoming PS5 fight stick.
Sony has announced a delay for the release of its FlexStrike fight stick controller, originally scheduled for August 6th, now pushed to an undetermined future date. The company cites “unexpected production delays” as the reason for this setback. This launch was initially timed to coincide with the debut of Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls, a Marvel-themed fighting game developed by Arc System Works.
In an update shared on a PlayStation blog, Sony stated, “We wanted to share an update on the launch timing for FlexStrike wireless fight stick. Due to unexpected production delays, FlexStrike wireless fight stick will launch at a later date. We will share an update soon.”
Priced at $199.99, the FlexStrike comes with a sling carry case and features a built-in rechargeable battery. The controller is designed with familiar PlayStation buttons, arranged flat to mimic the experience of arcade fighting games or other fight stick peripherals.
