Zelda Unveils Exciting New Action Figure Collection for Movie Release and 40th Anniversary Celebration

The Legend of Zelda collectibles are on the horizon, perfectly timed with the upcoming movie set to release next year and the franchise’s 40th anniversary. A collaboration between Nintendo and Hasbro is bringing a new line of six-inch scale figures, expected to launch in 2027.

The first trio of figures will be unveiled at San Diego Comic-Con 2026, happening from July 23 to July 26. While we anticipate seeing fan-favorites Link, Zelda, and Ganon, there’s always a chance Nintendo might surprise us with a character like Zill and his iconic snot bubble. Anything is possible!

“For decades, The Legend of Zelda franchise has captivated fans through its deep lore, unforgettable characters, and enduring sense of discovery,” said Hasbro’s toys and board games president. “By combining Nintendo’s iconic storytelling with Hasbro’s leadership in action and role-play, we’re delivering toys that invite fans to play, explore, and forge their own epic adventures.”

Details from Hasbro are still sparse, but we hope to learn more about the upcoming toys and collectibles at SDCC. This partnership is described as a “multi-year collaboration,” suggesting that plenty of exciting products are on the way.

The Legend of Zelda celebrated its 40th anniversary earlier this year, with the original game launching in Japan on February 21, 1986, and in North America on August 22, 1987. Fans are eager for the anniversary celebrations to continue into next year.

In 2026, a new Lego set depicting the climactic battle from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was released. Additionally, a remake of Ocarina of Time is set to drop later this year, and the soundtrack for Breath of the Wild will see a deluxe vinyl release in September. Plus, the highly anticipated live-action film is scheduled for April 30, 2027.

With so much happening, the excitement is palpable, but it also leaves plenty of room for speculation!
