Tim Burton’s Hidden Gothic Gems to Be Released in Steelbook Editions

If you’re someone who can’t help but rave about The Nightmare Before Christmas or proudly declare that Wednesday is Tim Burton’s finest TV series, then you’re in for a fantastic surprise this September.

Two iconic films from Tim Burton’s repertoire are set to receive stunning 4K steelbook editions: Sleepy Hollow and Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. While Sleepy Hollow is a reissue, this will be the first time Sweeney Todd gets the steelbook treatment.

Burton’s 1999 gothic film, inspired by Washington Irving’s 1820 short story The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, follows Ichabod Crane (Johnny Depp) as he investigates a string of gruesome murders in the eerie village of Sleepy Hollow. Along the way, he finds himself enamored with Katrina Van Tassel (Christina Ricci), which complicates matters further.

In Sweeney Todd, Depp reunites with Burton to bring Stephen Sondheim’s stage musical to life. He stars as Todd, who is joined by Helena Bonham Carter as the cunning and charming Mrs. Lovett. The story revolves around Todd’s quest for vengeance against Judge Turpin (Alan Rickman), who wrongfully imprisoned him to take his wife and daughter.

Both limited-edition steelbooks feature eye-catching covers and a variety of bonus content. Here’s a look at what each steelbook includes, along with their pricing.

The Sleepy Hollow steelbook is priced at $34.99 and includes:
