Mastering Third-Person Gameplay in Halo: Campaign Evolved

The new skull modifiers introduced in Halo: Campaign Evolved offer a variety of gameplay twists. Among the fan favorites is the Grunt Birthday Party, but you can also switch to a third-person perspective, allowing you to experience the game from an over-the-shoulder view.

To access this feature, you’ll need to locate the collectible skull and activate the modifier when selecting a mission or rally point.

The Perspective skull can be found early in the game. After you meet Captain Keyes on the bridge of the Pillar of Autumn and the cutscene concludes, head just behind him to the cockpit area where the pilots are seated. Drop down into the space below, and you’ll spot the Perspective skull on the ground to the side. If you’ve already completed the first mission, you can load Rally Point Bravo, which places you right after the cutscene.

Once you’ve collected the skull, you need to enable it by starting a new game from your latest mission or rally point and toggling the Perspective option in the skull menu before launching.

The third-person view is positioned fairly close to the shoulder, making it manageable for indoor gameplay. However, when you use a scoped weapon and zoom in, the perspective will switch back to first-person, allowing you to aim and shoot your magnum as usual.
