Twelve South’s sleek charging tray offers increased wireless power in a compact design.

After its initial reveal at CES earlier this year, Twelve South is rolling out a compact version of its leather-wrapped Valet charging tray, perfect for tight spaces. The original Valet measured 7.5 inches deep, providing ample room for items like wallets and keys, but the new model trims that down to 4.5 inches, making it ideal for single items such as glasses.

Despite its smaller size, the new Valet comes with some notable enhancements. While the original offered a maximum wireless charging output of 15W, this updated version boosts that to 25W. However, the trade-off is that the USB-C port on the side, which previously supported 15W for a second device, is now limited to just 10W when the Qi2 charger is in use.

Priced at $129.99, the new 4.5-inch Valet is more affordable than the larger $179.99 model, yet it remains pricier than many other Qi2 wireless chargers due to its high-quality materials. It boasts a weighted zinc alloy base and is wrapped in luxurious black, brown, or taupe Nappa leather. Additionally, the upper section features a removable metal frame that can be swapped out for different colors available from Twelve South.
