The Ferrari Luce boasts a fanbase of over 500 enthusiasts.
Just two months after a rocky debut earlier this year, Ferrari has reportedly already achieved its 2026 sales target for the controversial Luce EV, designed by Jony Ive. Ahead of the company’s quarterly earnings announcement on Thursday, it has been reported that Ferrari aimed to sell “just under 500” Luce units this year and has hit that milestone this month.
Sales of the Luce have been reportedly fueled by “strong demand from China,” where electric vehicle sales have surged from manufacturers like Geely, Lynk & Co, and Zeekr. Sources indicate that Ferrari is looking to attract a new generation of affluent buyers with the Luce, particularly in China and “tech hubs like Silicon Valley,” noting that US tech entrepreneurs have given “positive” feedback on the €550,000 EV.
Looking ahead, Ferrari hopes to sell around 2,500 Luce units by 2030, averaging about 600 each year, which would account for approximately 5 percent of the company’s annual sales. Additionally, the first production model of the Luce is set to be auctioned next month, with expectations that it could fetch over $1.1 million.
