First Look at New Overwatch Hero D.Mon Before Full Reveal
Overwatch’s next hero is just around the corner. Fans got their first glimpse of the new character, D.Mon, on Monday, with a full reveal set for later this week as she joins the roster in season 4.
D.Mon, whose real name is Yuna Lee, is part of Korea’s MEKA Squad. Like her fellow pilot D.Va, D.Mon transitioned from a professional esports career to become a mech pilot, fighting alongside the Korean Mobile Exo-Force against the Gwishin omnics. She has made appearances in various cinematics, cosmetics, and comics, and has been characterized as “tough and protective” by a former writer. Her mech is called Beast.
Players can expect a more in-depth look at D.Mon in her hero trailer, which will debut on Thursday, Aug. 6 at 9 a.m. PDT / 12 p.m. EDT.
As a Tank-class hero, D.Mon has been hinted at during Overwatch’s recent relaunch. She was featured as one of the silhouettes in the artwork released in February when the game was rebranded from Overwatch 2 to Overwatch, alongside the announcement of 10 new heroes for 2026 as part of the game’s 10th anniversary celebration.
On Monday, a brief teaser of D.Mon’s animated hero trailer was shared, showcasing her in combat against another mechanized foe, Wrecking Ball. While we catch a glimpse of Beast in action, it’s still unclear how D.Mon will differ in gameplay from her MEKA counterpart D.Va.
D.Mon marks Overwatch’s 53rd hero, the 15th tank, and the eighth new addition to the game in 2026. She follows a lineup of newcomers including Shion (Damage), Sierra (Damage), Domina (Tank), Anran (Damage), Emre (Damage), Jetpack Cat (Support), and Mizuki (Support). D.Mon will officially join the game on Aug. 11, coinciding with the launch of Overwatch season 4.
Overwatch is available on Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
