Moonlighter 2 Launches from Early Access Just in Time for the Holiday Rush

After its early access debut last fall, Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault is gearing up for its full launch this summer, set for September 2. This unique blend of dungeon crawling and shopkeeping is being celebrated with a limited-time giveaway of the original game on Steam.

Moonlighter 2 serves as the isometric 3D sequel to the pixel art classic from 2018. In The Endless Vault, players step into the shoes of shopkeeper Will, who ventures into dungeons to gather new items for his store. However, acquiring these treasures isn’t a walk in the park; Will must battle through various foes in each dungeon. The upcoming 1.0 release will wrap up the game’s narrative and introduce new weapons, armor, and a Bomb path ability that causes enemies to explode.

Early impressions from players have been positive, with many noting that while Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault has room for improvement, it shows great promise. With around 1,200 “Very Positive” reviews on Steam, it’s clear that the community is excited about what Digital Sun has in store.

As Moonlighter 2 exits early access, the gaming landscape is heating up with new releases. Titles like Resonance: A Plague Legacy and Star Wars Zero Company are set to drop on August 27, followed by The Blood of Dawnwalker, Orbitals, and Onimusha: Way of the Sword the following week. September is packed with anticipated releases, including Marvel’s Wolverine, Control: Resonant, Qliphah in Providence’s Shadow, Silent Hill: Townfall, and many more.

The 1.0 launch of Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault will also see it making its way to Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5, expanding beyond its early access availability on Windows PC and Xbox Series X. A demo is currently available across all platforms, allowing players to get a taste of the adventure ahead.
