Fields of Mistria 1.0: Discover the New Features in the Full Release!
After two years in early access, the shoujo-inspired farming sim, Fields of Mistria, is finally launching its full version. Whether you’ve been a dedicated player throughout or are returning after a break, here’s what to expect in the complete release of Mistria.
You can finally take a break from those endless donation box runs. Thanks to your relentless material gathering, Mistria has been fully repaired and upgraded following the earthquake.
Initially, the game offered four unlockable friendship hearts per character, but during early access, that number increased by eight. In the full release, you can now unlock a special 10-heart cutscene with your datable characters.
You’ll also have the opportunity to move beyond casual dating and choose a partner to marry and start a family with. Watching your partner carry your baby around is undeniably charming.
Two new merchants, Stillwell and Zorel, are joining the Saturday Market lineup.
Additionally, Mistria is introducing an achievements system that will reward you retroactively for your past accomplishments.
You won’t need to start a new save file for the 1.0 launch, and I can confirm that I didn’t have to either. The major changes in the launch version primarily expand the story, so it should feel seamless to continue playing even if you’re in year three or four. I’ve returned to Mistria a few times after its updates, and the new story content has always integrated smoothly with my previous progress.
You also won’t need a new save file to unlock any of the new achievements; they will all be awarded retroactively based on your existing gameplay.
Over the past two years, there have been several significant updates. If you stopped playing early on and are just now returning, here are some features you might not immediately notice were added:
