Lego Launches 3,500-Piece Harry Potter Set to Celebrate 25th Anniversary
Harry Potter made its grand entrance into the literary world with the 1997 release of *Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone* (known as *Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone* in the U.S. when it hit shelves a year later). The story was brought to the big screen in 2001, and now Lego is marking 25 years of Chris Columbus’s adaptation with an exciting new set featuring nearly 3,500 pieces and 14 minifigures.
This Ministry of Magic set showcases a detailed cross-section of the underground office that Harry, Hermione, and Ron explore later in the series. The upper section includes the street-level entrance, complete with a tube station and the iconic red telephone booth required to access the Ministry of Magic. (If you’re not familiar with what a “telephone booth” is, just ask your parents—they’ll know!)
The set is packed with familiar locations and hidden surprises. You’ll find Arthur Weasley and Dolores Umbridge’s offices, the Ministry’s courtroom, and the Hall of Prophecy all included. With 14 minifigures, including characters like Harry and Voldemort, you can recreate your favorite scenes from the books and films. Plus, it features the first-ever minifigure of Arabella Figg.
The Ministry of Magic set will be available for Lego Insiders to order on August 29, with general availability starting on September 1.
Additionally, an HBO series reimagining J.K. Rowling’s seven Harry Potter novels is set to premiere in December.
