Apple boosts trade-in values and expands options for Android devices.
Apple has raised its trade-in values for a range of devices, including iPhones, iPads, Macs, Apple Watches, and select Android phones, with some devices now fetching over $100 more than before. The biggest jump in trade-in value is for the Mac Studio, which saw an increase of $260. While some offers remain the same, most devices have seen a bump of about $5 to $20, with a few notable increases exceeding $100:
* MacBook Pro ($855, up from $690)
* Mac Pro ($2,195, up from $2,045)
* Mac Studio ($1,305, up from $1,045)
In addition, Apple has introduced trade-in credits for several new Android models:
* Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G ($95)
* Google Pixel 9 Pro XL ($315)
* Google Pixel 9 Pro ($305)
* Google Pixel 9 ($210)
* OnePlus 13 ($250)
* OnePlus 13R ($165)
However, trade-in values for some other Android devices have been reduced, including:
* Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G ($125, down from $130)
* Google Pixel 8 Pro ($155, down from $165)
* Google Pixel 7 Pro ($90, down from $95)
* Google Pixel 7 ($60, down from $65)
These increased trade-in credits come on the heels of a series of price hikes Apple announced earlier this year, with increases ranging from $30 to $4,200. Additionally, Apple recently launched a new “Upgrade” leasing program designed to help make its premium devices more accessible.
