Ghost of Yotei to Launch Complete Edition Featuring New Narrative Expansion

Sucker Punch Productions is gearing up to mark the one-year anniversary of Ghost of Yotei with an exciting celebration. On October 1, the action-adventure title will launch a Complete Edition, packed with a wealth of new content, including a fresh expansion.

The announcement came via an official blog post, revealing that the standout feature is Echoes of Sekigahara. This new narrative will weave between the present and flashbacks to protagonist Atsu’s past on the mainland. Players will join Atsu and a new character, Nagato, as they explore an uncharted valley that served as a hideout for The Snake and his followers. The flashback sequences will take players through Atsu’s experiences during the pivotal Battle of Sekigahara, a significant event that set her on her path of vengeance in the main game. The expansion will introduce new enemies, powerful weapons, armor sets, dyes, and more.

Additionally, a roguelike mode called Most Wanted will make its debut. In this mode, players will take on bounties to initiate runs, with defeating enemies unlocking perks and new playable characters. Each character will specialize in a specific weapon type: Atsu with dual katanas, Oyuki with the kusarigama, and Nagato with the yari.

The Ghost of Yotei Complete Edition will retail for $69.99. Alongside the new expansion and Most Wanted mode, it will include all content from the Digital Deluxe Edition, as well as the Charm of Hokkyokusei. Players who purchase the Complete Edition by September 30 will unlock the Sakai Armor, inspired by Jin’s armor from Ghost of Tsushima. Those who buy the Complete Edition before October 1 will gain immediate access to the base game and the co-op Legends mode, with Most Wanted and the story expansion becoming available on launch day. A $14.99 Complete Edition Upgrade will also be offered for existing owners of the base game to access Echoes of Sekigahara and Most Wanted.

Even players who opt not to purchase the Complete Edition will have something to look forward to on October 1. A patch for the base game will introduce a new Beauty of Yotei mode, showcasing stunning shots of the game’s environments. Players will also have the option to maintain the appearance of one armor set while using the stats of another. Additionally, a high contrast accessibility option will be added. More details about the new story expansion and the roguelike mode will be shared as the launch date approaches.
