MOZA Racing Enters Gran Turismo World Series
MOZA Racing has officially partnered with the Gran Turismo World Series, providing the sim racing hardware manufacturer with a significant platform for marketing as it gears up to launch its first licensed PlayStation products.
Starting with the second round of the 2026 season in Tokyo on August 15, MOZA branding will feature prominently in the championship’s official broadcasts. Details regarding the financial aspects and length of the partnership have not been revealed.
This collaboration kicks off during the current GTWS season rather than waiting for a new campaign. The season began in Milan on May 23, with additional events planned for Tokyo, Singapore, and the World Finals in Tokyo in December.
MOZA is a part of Shenzhen-based Gudsen Technology, a company that initially focused on professional camera stabilization gear. Leveraging its expertise in electric motors and motion control, Gudsen ventured into sim racing, launching MOZA-branded direct-drive hardware in 2021. Since then, the company has broadened its offerings to include wheelbases, steering wheels, pedals, shifters, dashboards, and flight-simulation gear.
Gran Turismo producer Kazunori Yamauchi acknowledged this background in the announcement, noting that he first encountered MOZA through its camera gimbals. He mentioned that the two companies would collaborate on developing a steering wheel that meets the standards of “Gran Turismo.”
Currently, MOZA does not have a wheelbase that is officially supported on PlayStation, and it is not listed among the steering-wheel manufacturers compatible with Gran Turismo 7. The company indicated that its upcoming PlayStation products are still in development and will need final approval from Sony Interactive Entertainment. No details on release dates, specifications, or pricing have been provided.
The announcement does not clarify whether MOZA hardware will be used in GTWS competition setups. Fanatec confirmed prior to the May season opener that it remains the official steering-wheel partner for the series, with the Milan competition rigs utilizing its Gran Turismo DD Extreme equipment. Neither MOZA nor Polyphony Digital addressed this arrangement in their announcement.
As it stands, the partnership seems primarily aimed at enhancing broadcast visibility and fostering future consumer product development. It remains unclear if MOZA equipment will eventually be integrated into live GTWS competitions.
