Fatal Fury’s Revenge Edition Simplifies Access to All DLC Content
While it may not be as widely recognized as Street Fighter 6 and now contends with rising competition from titles like Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, SNK is still actively supporting Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves. The latest announcement reveals the release date for the upcoming DLC fighter and a new Revenge Edition that bundles all three seasons of the game’s post-launch content.
The Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves Revenge Edition will retail for $49.99 and includes the base game along with the three currently available season passes. These comprehensive editions are a staple in the fighting game genre, often serving as the best way for newcomers to dive into titles that have accumulated a wealth of DLC.
By purchasing the Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves Revenge Edition, players will gain immediate access to 30 fighters, with an additional four set to join the roster by the end of 2026. This edition will launch alongside Duck King, a beloved character from the Fatal Fury series who has finally made his way into City of the Wolves. The release date is set for August 27.
Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves marks SNK’s first fighting game release following its acquisition by the Misk Foundation, owned by the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, and it has not been without its controversies. Players expressed dissatisfaction over the inclusion of real-world figures like Cristiano Ronaldo taking up roster spots. Additionally, SNK faced criticism for utilizing generative AI in a trailer for the second season of City of the Wolves.
These controversies are important to consider when deciding whether to invest in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, its DLC, or the Revenge Edition. If you choose to purchase the Revenge Edition, it will be available on PS4, PS5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X.
