Sebastian Stan Reveals Details About His Secret Role in The Batman Part 2

After months of speculation, Sebastian Stan has seemingly confirmed his role in Matt Reeves’ upcoming film, The Batman Part 2. In a recent interview, Stan revealed that he will portray Harvey Dent, also known as Two-Face, in the next installment of the Batman saga.

While discussing his return as Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday, Stan mentioned, “I’ve been following this rule for fifteen years, I’m used to it. I also can’t say anything about The Batman: Part 2, where I play Harvey Dent.”

Stan’s casting in The Batman Part 2 was initially confirmed in May, alongside his Marvel co-star Scarlett Johansson. However, director Matt Reeves has yet to officially confirm their roles. There has been speculation about Stan playing Dent, but some rumors suggested he might take on the role of the serial killer Victor Zsasz. Johansson is expected to portray Gilda Dent, Harvey’s wife, while Charles Dance may play Charles Dent, Harvey’s father.

Harvey Dent, better known as the villain Two-Face, has been portrayed by various actors in the past, including Billy Dee Williams in Batman, Tommy Lee Jones in Batman Forever, Aaron Eckhart in The Dark Knight, and Harry Lawtey in Joker: Folie à Deux. Once an ally of Bruce Wayne/Batman, Dent’s transformation into a villain typically follows a tragic incident that leaves him disfigured, often involving acid that scars him both physically and mentally.

The Batman Part 2 will see the return of Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Colin Farrell as Oz Cobb/Penguin, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon, and Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth. Barry Keoghan may also reprise his role as the Joker. Originally set for an October 2025 release, The Batman Part 2 is now scheduled to hit theaters on February 18, 2028.
