Top FPS Titles Shine in Exciting New Gaming Showcase

The newly announced FPS Games Show is set to be an exciting pre-recorded event focused solely on first-person shooters, scheduled for Thursday, September 3, at 2 p.m. EDT, and will be streamed live on Twitch.

Organized by Bulkhead, the studio behind the upcoming Steam Early Access title Wardogs, the FPS Games Show aims to deliver “news, gameplay, updates, and reveals.” Notably, all games featured in the showcase are participating without any paid placements or marketing fees, ensuring a genuine representation of the genre. A total of 16 games will be highlighted during the event.

Joe Brammer, CEO of Bulkhead, emphasized the significance of FPS games in the industry, stating, “FPS games have been a cornerstone of the industry for more than three decades, building one of the biggest and most dedicated player communities in gaming.” He noted that this audience often lacks a dedicated platform for news and updates, which the FPS Games Show seeks to provide by uniting studios to showcase their work and celebrate the genre.

In a separate video, Howard Philpott, Bulkhead’s UI/UX director, elaborated on the need for this showcase, pointing out that traditional gaming events often feature only a couple of titles that cater to FPS enthusiasts. He and Brammer revealed that the cost to feature a game in those events can reach $300,000 for just a 60-second trailer, prompting them to create their own dedicated show.

Additionally, Steam is supporting the showcase by hosting a “dedicated third-party platform event” that will include selected titles, discounts, free demos, and free weekends. This initiative marks an exciting beginning for Bulkhead’s FPS-focused showcase.
