New GTA 6 Leak Emerges, Features a Line Mocking Rockstar Games
Another gameplay video for Grand Theft Auto 6 has surfaced online, courtesy of the same source behind yesterday’s leaks. This latest clip features Jason cruising through the night, engaging in combat with security personnel, and utilizing a taser. Notably, it includes a cheeky jab about VPNs directed at Rockstar Games.
On August 19, a site known for hosting previous GTA 6 leaks updated its content with a new video labeled “Taser Video.” The gameplay quickly gained traction on Reddit and social media, but, similar to earlier clips, reuploads are being swiftly taken down due to copyright claims, reinforcing the authenticity of these leaks and indicating that Take-Two is actively trying to scrub them from the internet.
In the newly leaked footage, we see Jason driving at night before getting into a scuffle with security officers, ultimately taking them down. At one point, he humorously dons an officer’s hat, reminiscent of the hat mechanics in Red Dead Redemption II. The clip also showcases Jason using a taser on an officer. As he approaches a vehicle, a prompt suggests that players will have the ability to “clone” car keys. Following the altercation, Jason pursues a semi-truck on foot and commandeers it.
A cutscene then plays, featuring a character telling Jason, “They don’t know nothing about me, man. I use a VPN.” This line seems to be a direct dig at Rockstar and Take-Two, who appear to be struggling to contain the ongoing leaks of early gameplay footage.
Fans have already identified the song playing in the background as Tate McRae’s “Sports Car,” released in 2025. Within an hour of the leak, the comments section of the song’s lyric video was flooded with jokes from GTA fans about the situation.
On Tuesday, the same source shared what looked like two authentic gameplay videos of GTA 6, along with a glimpse of the game’s map. Since then, fans have been speculating about the age of the build shown and the origins of the leaks, while cataloging various features and details spotted in the footage. These leaks appear to be tied to a broader anti-digital games manifesto posted by the source, which has drawn criticism from the consumer protection group Stop Killing Games.
It’s safe to say that neither Netflix nor Rockstar is thrilled right now. The official gameplay reveal for GTA 6 is scheduled to air on Netflix on August 27, with the footage to be shared shortly after on YouTube and other platforms.
Many fans are urging Rockstar to move that date up and release the extended look sooner to counteract these leaks. While that seems unlikely, Rockstar did release the first trailer for GTA 6 hours ahead of schedule due to a different leak back in 2023. So, it’s anyone’s guess what might unfold before the end of the month.
