Blue Eye Samurai Season 2 Arrives on Netflix This January

Great news for fans of Blue Eye Samurai! The first trailer for the second season of this animated series has dropped, along with a release window, and it’s been confirmed that a third and final season is on the way. The teaser for the second season reveals that it will be available for streaming on Netflix in January 2027, although the specific date hasn’t been announced yet.

Co-created by Amber Noizumi and Michael Green, Blue Eye Samurai tells the gripping tale of Mizu, a samurai who hides her gender and mixed-race background after enduring discrimination, as she embarks on a personal quest for revenge. The first season wraps up with Mizu realizing that her path to vengeance leads her to London—a perilous sea journey hinted at in the new trailer.

After Netflix hinted at an “epic conclusion production announcement” to reporters, it has been confirmed that Blue Eye Samurai will conclude with this third season. While details about the production and release of the final season are still under wraps, it’s worth noting that the second season was announced back in 2023, so we might be in for a bit of a wait.
