The Witcher 4 is set to launch in 2028, according to its developers.

CD Projekt Red is targeting a 2028 release for The Witcher 4, as shared by joint CEO Michał Nowakowski in a recent video. The studio has been developing this next installment in the beloved Witcher series for several years and has teased some footage, but now they’re offering a clearer timeline for its launch.

Before The Witcher 4 arrives, fans can look forward to more content in the Witcher universe. At the recent Gamescom event, CD Projekt Red is set to showcase the upcoming expansion for The Witcher 3, titled Songs of the Past, which is expected to drop in 2027. This expansion will also feature prominently in Gamescom’s Opening Night Live event, hosted by Geoff Keighley, starting at 2 PM ET on Tuesday.

Additionally, CD Projekt Red is developing a multiplayer spinoff within The Witcher universe, codenamed Project Siris. Earlier this month, the company announced layoffs affecting staff working on this project.
