Netflix is exploring the possibility of allowing other streaming services on its platform.

Netflix is exploring the possibility of integrating third-party streaming services into its app, as reported by an outlet. Recent talks have focused on potentially adding Peacock and Fox One, although it remains uncertain if Netflix would offer subscriptions to these services or simply include their content within its platform.

While competitors like Amazon’s Prime Video and Roku have been selling subscriptions to other streaming services for some time, this would mark a significant shift for Netflix, which has primarily engaged in bundling with other platforms. YouTube, Netflix’s main competitor, is set to include Peacock access as part of its Premium subscription next year.

Currently, there are no immediate plans for a deal, according to the report. However, Netflix has started experimenting with third-party streaming partnerships in France, where it integrated live channels and content from local broadcaster TF1 into its app earlier this year. During a July earnings call, Netflix co-CEO Greg Peters mentioned that the company is seeing “promising” results from this partnership. He added, “If we see additional deals that similarly serve our members that work for our partner, that work for us, we’ll certainly consider them.”

An outlet reached out to Netflix for comments but has not received a response yet.
