The Joker Takes Center Stage in 2026’s Upcoming Batman Game

Lego and Batman are a match made in gaming heaven, blending together in a way that feels surprisingly seamless. The 2017 Lego Batman Movie is often hailed as one of the finest interpretations of the Caped Crusader, and the same can be said for the games. This year’s Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight stands tall alongside Rocksteady’s renowned Arkham series. And now, things are about to get even more exciting with the introduction of Batman’s greatest foe.

A new version of the game for Switch 2 is set to launch on September 18, coinciding with the release of the Mayhem Collection DLC. A fresh trailer unveiled during a recent event showcases the DLC’s main attraction: a story mission featuring the Joker and Harley Quinn. This mission appears to delve into their origins, depicting their first encounters during therapy sessions at Arkham, which lead to a daring escape. Players will see the duo face off against Amanda Waller and a lineup of iconic Batman characters locked away in Arkham. The Joker will bring a dynamic, fast-paced combat style, utilizing his Paintball Pelter and Boxing Glove, while Harley will swing her trusty hammer and summon her hyena pals, Bud and Lou.

Additionally, the DLC will introduce a new Mayhem Mode, focusing on vehicle action where the Joker and Harley race through Gotham in time trials while being pursued by Batman and the Suicide Squad. Expect a variety of new outfits in the Mayhem Collection as well, including fresh looks from the Sinister Pack.

The Mayhem Collection DLC will be available at no extra cost to all owners of the Deluxe Edition of the base game when it drops on September 18.
