David Fincher and Quentin Tarantino’s sequel to Once Upon A Time in Hollywood receives a release date update.

Quentin Tarantino’s *Once Upon a Time … in Hollywood* is set to receive an official sequel, but this time, it won’t be directed by Tarantino himself. Instead, David Fincher, known for *Seven* and *Fight Club*, is taking the reins with a fresh narrative centered around Brad Pitt’s stuntman character, Cliff Booth. We got our first glimpse of *The Adventures of Cliff Booth* back in February when a teaser trailer was released. Recently, there’s been a significant update regarding the film, including a new title, an IMAX release, and its streaming debut on Netflix.

The film has been retitled to *The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth*—the reasons for this change remain unclear—and it will premiere on Netflix on December 23.

Fans of both Fincher and Tarantino will have the chance to see the film in theaters first, with an exclusive two-week IMAX run starting November 25. Fincher is directing from a script penned by Tarantino, who has yet to announce his 10th and final film project.

The original film received praise for its unique storytelling in this two-part series back in 2019. Critic Karen Han noted that *Once Upon a Time … in Hollywood* is “easily the quietest and most meditative of [Tarantino’s] works,” culminating in a surprisingly gentle moment that recontextualizes everything that precedes it as a heartfelt tribute.
