Plaud Unveils New AI-Powered Earbuds
Plaud has unveiled a new AI wearable that takes the form of earbuds, designed to record, transcribe, and summarize your conversations. The Plaud One Explorer Edition can be worn like standard earbuds or utilized through its standalone charging case, which features built-in 4G for uploading and processing conversations without needing your phone or Wi-Fi.
Each earbud comes with 16MB of local storage (totaling 32MB) and is equipped with three microphones capable of recording from up to two meters away. According to Plaud, they can record for up to six hours, which also represents their maximum battery life. The earbuds boast noise cancellation and force-activated sensor controls on the stem. The charging case is equipped with four microphones that have a five-meter recording range, a built-in speaker, and 512MB of storage, offering a combined battery life of up to 36 hours, rechargeable via USB-C.
The AI transcription and summarization features leverage Plaud Intelligence, which is designed to “understand and execute on human intent.” An AI button on the Plaud One charging case activates “Plaud Agent,” allowing seamless integration with tools like Gmail, Google Calendar, Notion, and Slack, so users don’t have to juggle multiple platforms.
The Plaud One is priced at $249.99 and is available for preorder in select markets starting today, with shipping anticipated to begin in late September.
