Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender Launches on Physical Media

Avatar Nation, it’s time to celebrate: Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender is set for a physical release! Paramount Plus and Alliance Home Entertainment have announced that the film will be available on DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K Ultra HD, with pre-orders now open.

The film debuted on Paramount Plus on July 24, 2026, and was met with enthusiastic responses from both fans and critics, boasting a 90% critic score and a staggering 99% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. However, the release was overshadowed by a significant incident when the entire film was leaked on X this past April due to a reported hack.

Initially, Paramount planned for the movie to be exclusive to its streaming platform, but many fans hoped the leak might prompt a theatrical release for a more immersive experience. Sadly, it only received a very limited run in select theaters. At least Paramount is making amends with a physical release, which is often not guaranteed for films that go straight to streaming. Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender will hit Blu-ray and DVD on November 3, 2026, and will be available on 4K Ultra HD on February 9, 2027.

In addition to Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender and the fantastic Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game, there’s an exciting new Avatar TV series launching on Paramount Plus next month. Avatar: Seven Havens is a sequel to The Legend of Korra, following Avatar Pavi, a young Earthbender navigating a post-apocalyptic world. The series premieres on October 9, 2026, and has already been greenlit for two seasons, each with 13 episodes. After a long hiatus since The Legend of Korra wrapped up in 2014, 2026 is shaping up to be a thrilling year for Avatar fans.
