GTA 6 to Feature Two Stylish Custom PS5 Controllers

Today, during the latest State of Play, we were treated to an exciting surprise: two new DualSense PS5 controllers themed around Grand Theft Auto 6, one in sleek black and the other in crisp white.

Sony has announced that these controllers will be available for a limited time and in “limited quantities globally.” Let’s hope that doesn’t mean they’ll be impossible to snag. Pre-orders for both the black and white GTA 6 controllers will kick off on September 10, with each priced at $85. They’re set to officially launch on November 19, coinciding with the release date of GTA 6. You’ll be able to grab them through the PlayStation Direct store and at select retailers.

Both controllers showcase engraved palm trees on the grips and prominently feature the GTA 6 “VI” logo on the touchpad. The back displays the iconic Grand Theft Auto franchise logo. The black and white versions also sport stylish pink accents on the D-pad and face buttons, which look fantastic. As a fan of pink controllers, I find these particularly appealing. While I’m not entirely sold on the large VI logo on the touchpad, the overall design is impressive.

It’s a bit odd, as fans have pointed out, that GTA 6 is getting these physical controllers but not a physical disc release. You may not be able to hold a copy of GTA 6 in your hands, but Sony and Take-Two are offering these controllers for $5 more than the digital version of the $80 game. That’s… something, I suppose?

Sony mentions that both the black and white GTA 6 controllers feature a “shimmering, color-shifting finish.” We caught a glimpse of this in the teaser during the State of Play reveal.
