Selling Silver in The Blood of Dawnwalker: A Quick Guide

I had no issues finding vendors to unload Coen’s endless stash of low-value stolen goods in Blood of Dawnwalker, but it took me a few days to figure out how to sell silver. Given that silver is deemed contraband under vampire law, you need to locate the right vendor and complete a quick quest before heading south.

You can sell silver in Svartrau City to the aptly named Silver Trader, but make sure to finish the Into the Den quest before leaving Coen’s home in Laslea Glen. Taking down the ravenous bear doesn’t take long, and you’ll need the intel from investigating what’s left of its meal.

In the spirit of RPG experimentation, I tried rushing to Svartrau and skipping Into the Den, but the Silver Trader just tells Coen to scram. You really have to take down that bear first.

At the end of the quest, a note directs Coen to Svartrau’s Neustadt District. The city is located further south in central Vale Sangora, but as long as you’ve completed Into the Den, you can visit whenever you like. The map will fill with new merchant and quest icons as you get closer—the Silver Trader is in the southwest corner.

When he plays coy about Coen’s visit, just let the Silver Trader know you’re onto him, and he’ll agree to buy your silver contraband. It fetches a much better price than all those pickles and chunks of raw meat cluttering Coen’s pockets. Definitely worth the bear fight, if you ask me.
