Finding Witchcraft manuals significantly enhances the enjoyment of human combat in Blood of Dawnwalker. These powerful hexes can summon a flock of crows, ignite enemy blood, or even provide a shield against a single attack. However, to access these abilities, you’ll need to track down skill manuals. Below, I’ll outline where to find each manual and list the Witchcraft vendors where you can purchase them.
There are ten Witchcraft abilities in total, with Compel Soul, Astral Communion, Burning Blood, and Mercurial Fervour becoming available from Anca towards the end of the prologue. To unlock the remaining six abilities and level them up, you’ll typically need to complete Ancient Circles, Haunted Sites, or participate in the Pilgrimage of Power quests.

You can obtain this manual by completing the Pilgrimage of Power: Bear Trouble quest, located directly west across the river from the Laslea Gate shrine in Laslea Glen.
This manual is available after finishing the Ancient Circle at the far west end of the Cursed Chasm in Briar Sloughs. To reach the bottom of the ravine, head northwest from the Coward’s Path shrine until you find a path leading down. Don’t forget to grab the legendary sword while you’re there.
You can find this manual by completing the Ancient Circle located directly east of Maragir, through the forest in the Maragir Wealds.
You start with this ability, but you can find an additional manual by completing the Ancient Circle in Maragir Wealds, just southwest of the Eerie Knoll shrine and north of the Stuga Bridge shrine in the southern part of the region.
This manual can be obtained by completing the Haunted: Site of Crucifixion quest in south Maragir Wealds, directly south of St. Clements’ Monastery and south of the Eerie Knoll shrine.
You can find this manual by completing the Ancient Circle in northeast St. Tyna’s Grove, just a bit northeast of the St. Tyna’s Grove Tower shrine in the eastern region.
Another ability you unlock right after the prologue can be found in the top floor of St. Tyna’s Convent library during Anca’s Echoes of Silenced Bells quest.
You automatically gain this ability during the Who Pulls the Strings quest, part of the Manumit questline. Complete The Firebrand, Shadows in the Woods, and Where Loyalty Lies, then continue with their quests to eventually encounter this skill in Aurelius’s tower during Who Pulls the Strings.
