Nvidia Unveils RTX Spark Laptops Set to Release in October with Dual Configurations

Leading up to Nvidia’s summer reveal of its Arm-based RTX Spark chips, there was buzz about two specific models: the N1X and N1. While the N1 won’t be making its debut this year, Nvidia has confirmed that the N1X will be available in RTX Spark laptops in two configurations this October.

One version of the RTX Spark N1X laptop features what could be described as a mini PC chip. The high-end N1X variant boasts a powerful 6144-core Blackwell RTX GPU, paired with a 20-core Grace CPU and offers between 24GB and 128GB of unified memory. This chip will be found in both premium laptops and compact systems, such as Microsoft’s Surface RTX Spark Dev Box.

The more streamlined N1X, which I’d refer to as the laptop chip, includes a 5120-core Blackwell RTX GPU, an 18-core Grace CPU, and between 24GB and 32GB of unified memory. It’s likely that most RTX Spark N1X laptops will utilize this configuration, with devices set to launch from brands like Asus, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft, and MSI in October.

While we’re still waiting for Nvidia to provide more details on the N1X’s gaming performance, the company has hinted at the potential for 100fps gaming at 1440p with ray tracing and DLSS enabled. With RTX Spark laptops just a month away, we’re also eager to learn about specific availability and pricing from PC manufacturers. Given the ongoing RAM crisis, it’s reasonable to anticipate that N1X laptops will be positioned at the higher end of the price spectrum.
