Circular’s latest smart rings introduce contactless payment features and vibration notifications.
Circular has unveiled its latest Ring 3 Series, building on the success of the Ring 2 introduced at CES 2025. This new lineup includes the Pro model, which retains the advanced health-tracking capabilities, including FDA-cleared atrial fibrillation detection, and a more compact Slim version that offers basic stats tracking. Both models come equipped with vibrating alerts for alarms, medication reminders, and guided breathing exercises, along with an integrated NFC chip for seamless contactless payments.
The Ring 3 Pro boasts a sleeker design compared to its predecessor, utilizing titanium for both the inner and outer structures, enhancing its durability. It is available in finishes like gold, rose gold, silver, and black. Notably, battery life has improved from seven days to up to 12 days, even with a smaller capacity battery, and a wireless charging case can recharge it five to six times before needing to plug it in.
The Ring 3 Slim is even lighter and thinner than the Pro model, featuring a smaller battery that lasts up to 10 days. It uses a nonmetallic “biocompatible epoxy” on the inside instead of titanium, making it a more discreet and potentially more comfortable option. While it retains the Pro model’s photoplethysmography (PPG) sensors for heart rate and blood oxygen (SpO₂) monitoring, it lacks the ECG sensor and AFib detection. Other health-tracking features include skin temperature, daily activity tracking, sleep monitoring, and heart rate variability (HRV).
Pricing details for both models are still under wraps, but they are expected to hit the market in early 2027.
