This durable phone features a detachable camera designed to withstand and document your adventurous escapades.

RugOne’s Xsnap 7 Pro is built tough, boasting both IP68 and IP69K ratings, which means it can handle heavy water blasts and can be fully submerged for up to 30 minutes. What really makes the Xsnap 7 Pro stand out in the crowded market is its unique detachable rear camera, which doubles as a standalone action cam. It was first unveiled at MWC 2026 earlier this year and is set to launch on Kickstarter on September 7th for €799 (around $930) in limited quantities, with a broader global release planned for October at $999.

While the detachable camera module may not match the capabilities of the DJI Osmo Nano or the Insta360 Go Ultra, which both shoot in 4K, it still offers solid performance with video recording up to 2.7K at 30fps through a 133-degree ultrawide lens. RugOne has integrated distortion correction algorithms to ensure subjects appear natural, and software stabilization helps keep footage smooth, even when the camera is rotated 360 degrees.

The action cam features a battery life of up to 40 minutes, which can be extended to an impressive 800 minutes when docked and charged using the phone’s robust 9,300mAh battery. With 64GB of built-in storage, it can hold around eight hours of 1080p footage, and videos can be easily transferred to the Xsnap 7 Pro’s 512GB storage every time it’s docked. The camera is also slightly more waterproof than the phone, capable of functioning at depths of up to 5 meters.

Under the hood, the Xsnap 7 Pro is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8400 5G processor paired with 12GB of RAM, running on Android 16 with promises of upgrades to Android 20. It features a 6.67-inch 120Hz AMOLED display that can serve as a wireless preview screen for the action camera from distances of up to 160 feet. In addition to the detachable camera, the Xsnap 7 Pro includes a 32MP selfie camera on the front and a stabilized 50MP main camera on the back, complemented by a 64MP night vision camera enhanced with infrared LEDs.
