Square Enix to unveil new details about Kingdom Hearts 4 this month.

Kingdom Hearts enthusiasts were treated to a wealth of updates at this year’s D23 fan expo, where Square Enix unveiled an extended preview of Kingdom Hearts 4 and announced a release window set for late 2027. Additionally, an anime series based on the franchise is in the works. Now, just a month later, Square Enix is gearing up to reveal even more details about this highly anticipated title.

Starting on September 17, Square Enix will participate in this year’s Tokyo Game Show. Ahead of the event, the company has disclosed its official lineup of games to be showcased, including Kingdom Hearts 4. While an official schedule for the convention hasn’t been released yet, it’s expected that Square Enix will stream various panels and developer interviews. This could be the perfect opportunity for fans to learn more, potentially including a release date or fresh gameplay footage.

But Kingdom Hearts 4 isn’t the only title Square Enix is bringing to the Tokyo Game Show. Following a recent release date announcement during a State of Play event, Final Fantasy 7 Revelation will feature a playable demo on the show floor. Square Enix hints that attendees will be able to “play through a section” of the game, though specifics about the demo’s length or its place in the story remain under wraps.

Final Fantasy XIV will also be highlighted, as Square Enix prepares for the release of the MMO’s Evercold expansion next year. However, don’t expect a flood of new information just yet, as the company plans to hold the Tokyo Fan Fest at the end of October. This event is likely to provide a release date for the expansion and details about Evercold’s second new job. To celebrate the upcoming Final Fantasy 7 raid series in the MMO, attendees can pick up a special collaboration bag during the show.
