Nintendo announces a new Kirby game set to launch in 2027.

The September Nintendo Direct packed in 45 minutes of thrilling reveals and announcements. Just before wrapping up, Nintendo’s Yoshiaki Koizumi teased fans with the classic “one-more-thing” moment, unveiling that Kirby is set to embark on a fresh journey with the upcoming release of Kirby and the World Beyond next year.

Following the 2022 launch of Kirby and the Forgotten Land, fans have been eagerly anticipating a new 3D adventure, especially after the high-speed excitement of last year’s Kirby Air Riders. The wait is almost over with Kirby and the World Beyond, which looks to be the pink hero’s most expansive open-world experience yet. The trailer showcases Kirby breaking through a rift in the sky to reveal a vast new realm waiting to be explored.

Kirby and the World Beyond is scheduled to launch on Nintendo Switch 2 in spring 2027.

This year also marks Kirby’s 35th anniversary, so players can look forward to even more thrilling announcements leading up to the celebration.
