Final Fantasy 14 Reintroduces Beloved Crossover Event After Two-Year Hiatus

Noctis is making his way back to Eorzea! The Nocturne for Heroes event is set to return to Final Fantasy 14 for a limited time, giving players another chance to dive into this exciting crossover. The last time adventurers experienced the Final Fantasy 15 collaboration was in 2024.

Warriors of Light can kick off the quest for this event starting on September 24, 2026, at 1:00 a.m. PDT. You’ll have a few weeks to complete it and snag all the exclusive rewards, as the event wraps up on October 13, 2026, at 7:59 a.m. PDT. This event first debuted in 2021 and made a comeback in 2024, so don’t count on another chance to play it soon after this year’s run ends. The quest line involves the Warrior of Light teaming up with Noctis, the hero from Final Fantasy 15.

To start the event, head to Ul’dah and pick up the quest “The Man in Black” from Kipih Jakkya, located near the Steps of Nald. If you’ve participated in the event before, you can talk to the NPC to access the seasonal event replay feature. Just remember, you need a character at level 50 and must have completed the main scenario quest, “The Ultimate Weapon,” to join in.

As always, there will be a variety of limited-time items to collect during the event. The standout reward this time is the Regalia Type-G mount, which remains one of the best mounts in the MMO. It will be available for 200,000 MGP from the Ironworks Vendor. But that’s not all—there’s a full list of items up for grabs, each with its own way to obtain them.

If this isn’t your first rodeo with the event, consider trying it out on the Switch 2; it might just be the best platform for enjoying the MMO.

And congratulations on conquering Dancing Mad (Ultimate); it was a bit easier before patch 7.55!
