A Giant Piece of Materia Was Presented to the Pope

This looks like Magic Materia, which would enable Pope Leo to unleash both black and white magic spells in battle if he decides to equip it. The specific spell tied to this Materia remains a mystery, but the group that presented it to the Pope might have left a hint. The Materia was delivered by a nonprofit called Saint Peter for Humanity, which claims to work “to preserve, promote, and share humanity’s cultural, spiritual, and material heritage for the common good.” They describe this orb as a “symbolic” piece meant to embody the importance of maintaining humanity in an era dominated by AI.

This topic has gained traction recently, as Pope Leo addressed the issue in his encyclical, Magnifica Humanitas, where he urged for AI to be “disarmed” to prioritize the human experience over machines. “To disarm does not mean rejecting technology,” he stated, “but preventing it from dominating humanity.”

So, what’s the deal with this orb? In a video shared online, Olivier François, the head of Saint Peter for Humanity (and also the CEO of Fiat and CMO of Stellantis), described the orb as follows:

To me, this sounds like Wind Materia, suggesting that if the Pope equips it, he could potentially cast Aero, Aerora, or even Aeroga.

However, I have my reservations about the Pope equipping this Materia due to its questionable origins. It’s challenging to find concrete information about what Saint Peter for Humanity actually does, and its leadership raises some eyebrows. One board member is Kimbal Musk, yes, Elon Musk’s brother, who has some interesting connections. The board also includes television producer Mark Burnett, known for creating The Apprentice and currently serving as Trump’s special envoy to the UK. Not exactly reassuring!

All of this leads me to believe that this Materia might be cursed. I’m sorry, Your Holiness, I know your expression in that photo shows how much you cherish this orb, but it might be best to part with it. Perhaps Chadley would be interested? After all, when do you really need to cast Aeroga? I figured the Holy Spirit had that covered for you!
