Fortnite Teams Up with Persona 5 This Week

Fortnite has introduced a host of characters from the gaming universe in its latest Battle Royale season themed around Gaming Legends. The much-anticipated collaboration with Persona 5 finally has a release date, with Joker and other characters from the series set to join the fray this Friday, September 25.

An official teaser has unveiled the silhouettes of the characters making their way into Fortnite as part of the Persona 5 crossover. Players can look forward to seeing Joker, Ann Takamaki, and Morgana when the item shop refreshes on September 25.

Just a day before the reveal, data miners delved into the game files and discovered some intriguing details about the Persona 5 cosmetics. Morgana will be available as a sidekick, which makes sense given his smaller stature; he wouldn’t translate well as a standalone skin unless he were in a mech suit, reminiscent of Bart Simpson. As for Joker and Ann, both skins are rumored to feature alternate styles.

Speculation suggests that Ann’s alternate style could be her outfit from Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight, while Joker’s might showcase his Shujin Academy uniform. Additionally, Joker’s set may include a transformation emote, allowing players to switch his outfit mid-match. The exact number of other in-game items, such as pickaxes, back bling, and music tracks, included in this collaboration remains a mystery.

Nonetheless, this crossover appears to be significant, featuring at least two skins and one sidekick. Players will get the full scoop when the Persona 5 cosmetics drop in-game on September 25 across all platforms where Fortnite is available.
