Persona 4 Revival Welcomes Back a Key Voice Actor
Johnny Yong Bosch is set to reprise his role as Adachi in Persona 4 Revival, as confirmed by Atlus on Monday. Fans were taken by surprise when the studio announced it would be casting new actors for the remake of the beloved 2008 RPG, making Bosch’s return a delightful twist, especially given the significant impact his portrayal of Adachi has had on the Persona 4 experience.
On social media, Atlus unveiled several English voice actors for Persona 4 Revival. Alongside Bosch, the cast will feature Judy Alice Lee as Aika Nakamura, Courtney Shaw as Nanako Dojima, and Ray Chase as Ryotaro Dojima. Bosch’s return is particularly noteworthy since he has voiced Adachi in every iteration of Persona 4, which includes multiple game versions, two anime adaptations, and various spin-offs. Adachi is a pivotal character, evolving from a seemingly clumsy ally to a much more intricate figure, and Bosch’s performance has been crucial in conveying that depth, highlighting some of the game’s most memorable moments.
Interestingly, Bosch is currently the only returning voice actor from previous versions of Persona 4 for this remake. Atlus has indicated that they faced challenges in bringing back many original cast members, a situation that was further complicated when some actors mentioned they hadn’t been approached to return. Nevertheless, fans can take comfort in Bosch’s involvement.
Atlus has now revealed the complete voice cast for the game’s main characters, who have a tough task ahead of them, considering the original cast included notable talents like Troy Baker, Yuri Lowenthal, and Laura Bailey.
The confirmed cast list so far includes:
Persona 4 Revival is set to launch on February 18, 2027, for PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X, with a Switch 2 version scheduled for May 20, 2027.
