Meta’s Muse AI Charms Can Communicate with One Another

Meta is gearing up to launch its handheld AI device, the Muse Charm, later this year, which will have the ability to recognize and interact with other nearby Charms. This information comes from a recent report that dives into the details of the device first hinted at during the Meta Connect keynote.

The Muse Charm is equipped with the company’s advanced Muse AI agent and features a built-in 5G modem, allowing users to engage with the AI without needing a Wi-Fi connection. It boasts a two-inch OLED touchscreen, a fresh operating system, and a fingerprint sensor for quick access to Muse AI.

Additionally, the Charm includes cameras for capturing photos and videos, as well as for gathering visual data about its surroundings. It also comes with built-in speakers, microphones, and a USB-C charging port, supporting music and video playback. Users can set up the device using the Muse app available on iOS or Android.

Zuckerberg has indicated that Meta aims to release the device in time for the holiday season in December, although specific pricing details have yet to be confirmed. Reports suggest that the Charm may be priced similarly to a smartwatch, but mobile carrier fees for 5G access are still under consideration.
