Tickets Now Available for Zelda’s 40th Anniversary Concert

The gaming world might be facing some challenges, but it’s an incredible time to be a fan of video game music. With ongoing tours and special events celebrating iconic franchises like Final Fantasy, Sonic, Persona, and World of Warcraft, you can indulge in your favorite hobby while also embracing a touch of sophistication. This year marks the 40th anniversary of Nintendo’s legendary The Legend of Zelda series, which is set to receive the live orchestral treatment.

The tour will span various venues across North America, Europe, and Australia throughout 2027. Tickets for many locations will be available starting September 30 at noon local time, while some cities, including Boston, Houston, and Seattle, will announce their ticket sales at a later date. The official tour site mentions that additional concerts in France, Germany, Italy, and Spain are in the works, with more details to come soon.

Kicking off in North America on February 22 in Chicago, the tour will then head to Europe on April 3 in London, and finally to Australia on May 13 in Melbourne. Fans can look forward to a selection of tunes from the series’ extensive history, starting from the original Legend of Zelda released in 1986, all the way to contemporary hits like 2023’s Tears of the Kingdom. While ticket prices haven’t been officially announced and will likely vary by venue, the Japan leg of the tour, beginning January 23, is expected to range from $76 to $114.

It wouldn’t be surprising if these concerts highlight the upcoming Ocarina of Time remake, launching for Nintendo Switch 2 on November 5. This remake promises fully symphonic, orchestrated versions of Koji Kondo’s classic compositions. While it’s uncertain if you can bring your own electric ocarina to join in, it’s probably best to leave it at home. With most concert dates scheduled months after the game’s release, you’ll have ample time to hone your skills.

A special 8-LP box set featuring 130 tracks from the modern Zelda classic will also be available.
