Pokémon Pokopia Kicks Off Its Inaugural Halloween Celebration with Special Event
With Halloween just around the corner, many games are gearing up for their annual spooky events, and Pokémon Pokopia is no exception. This year marks the game’s first Halloween celebration, running from October 17 to November 1, where players can dive into a festive atmosphere filled with themed activities.
Previously, Pokémon Pokopia has hosted various events to commemorate special occasions, with the last one being the Fetching Scales for Feebas event in August. This event allowed players to collect water-themed furniture as part of the expansion pass and a free update, providing a refreshing break from their usual gameplay while unlocking unique items and Pokémon.
The Halloween festivities kick off on October 17 at 5 a.m. (or earlier for those who adjust their system settings) and wrap up on November 1 at 4:59 a.m. To join in on the fun, players need to chat with Pumpkaboo, who will be stationed in front of the newly decorated Pokémon Center. This Pokémon offers a variety of Halloween-themed goods for trade, but first, players must gather the event’s currency: candy.
Candy can be obtained by utilizing Zorua’s Camouflage ability, allowing players to disguise themselves as nearby objects that Pokémon find appealing. When a Pokémon approaches, players can jump out to surprise it, earning candy in the process.
During the event, players can also create a habitat for special Pokémon using Halloween-themed items available at the Pokémon Center. With the right combination, they can summon Gourgeist, the evolution of Pumpkaboo, adding an extra layer of spookiness to their town.
All the habitats introduced in the Bubbly Basin DLC will enhance the experience, making this Halloween event one to remember.
