The Witcher 3 Remastered has just launched, and already it’s receiving a series of updates, with the developers committed to resolving issues related to the bloom lighting setting soon.

The first hotfix was released earlier today to fix a bug that made DLSS unavailable for the Xbox Play Anywhere version on PC. It also aimed to brighten up interiors and adjust overall lighting to ensure consistency with the PC version for console players.

Lastly, community director Marcin Momot confirmed that more hotfixes are on the way, including one to tackle the bloom setting, which many players have been disabling to reduce the washed-out look of the remaster. A fix for a sound issue on consoles is also in development, as some players are finding it difficult to hear Geralt’s dialogue clearly.

Players have voiced concerns about stuttering and screen tearing on PS5, with performance mode causing visual issues in certain areas, particularly in Toussaint.

“We’re aiming to have these changes ready for the next update, but we don’t have specifics yet,” Momot mentioned. “We’ll provide more information as soon as possible.” As expected, the comments are filled with feedback about various other minor issues that, while not game-breaking, are still frustrating.

One of the most debated aspects of the remaster has been its revamped graphics, featuring new path tracing. It remains uncertain how much of the criticism stems from differing preferences for visual styles versus actual technical issues with the new features.
