Nacon’s latest PS5 controller allows you to blend audio from both your phone and console.
Nacon has unveiled what it claims to be the first officially licensed PlayStation 5 controller featuring a built-in screen, allowing players to adjust settings like joystick sensitivity and button remapping directly on the gamepad. The Revolution 5 Unlimited’s screen also enables audio mixing from various sources, so you can enjoy music from your phone while gaming through headphones connected to the controller.
Available for preorder now at $229.99, the Revolution 5 Unlimited is set to ship later this year. While it’s primarily designed for the PS5, the R5U sports an asymmetrical stick layout reminiscent of Xbox and Switch controllers, equipped with drift-resistant tunneling magnetoresistance (TMR) thumbsticks. Players can customize both sticks with interchangeable heads featuring different designs, and the D-pad is swappable, offering a classic four-way option or an eight-way design for easier combo execution in fighting games.
Nacon also allows you to fine-tune the controller’s balance with weights of 10, 14, and 16 grams that can be inserted into the non-slip grips.
On the top, the controller includes shoulder buttons, customizable shortcut buttons, and triggers with adjustable travel to enhance reaction times in FPS games. Additionally, there are four more customizable shortcut buttons on the back, along with a button for quickly switching between saved profiles.
The R5U is compatible with PCs and Android devices, and its customization options extend beyond the built-in screen. Nacon provides a mobile app for iOS and Android that allows players to adjust thumbstick response curves, tweak EQ profiles for audio sources, and modify the RGB lighting around the right stick.
