Quentin Tarantino’s first official sequel hits theaters next month.

Seven years after its release, Quentin Tarantino’s period action-drama *Once Upon a Time … in Hollywood* is set to receive an official sequel, though it won’t be directed by Tarantino himself. Instead, David Fincher, known for *Seven* and *Fight Club*, is taking the helm for this direct sequel, which will center on Brad Pitt’s stuntman character, Cliff Booth. We got our first glimpse of *The Adventures of Cliff Booth* back in February when a teaser trailer dropped. Fans can look forward to the film’s release in November.

Now titled *The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth*, the film will premiere on Netflix on December 23, but eager viewers will have the chance to catch it in theaters even earlier.

Fincher and Tarantino enthusiasts can enjoy an exclusive two-week IMAX run starting November 25. This is a unique opportunity to experience what a Fincher-directed sequel to *Once Upon a Time … in Hollywood* looks like on the big screen.

Pitt will reprise his Academy Award-winning role as Cliff Booth. While the original film was set in 1969, the sequel shifts to 1977, showcasing “a very different Hollywood,” according to Netflix. *The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth* also features a talented cast, including Elizabeth Debicki, Scott Caan, Carla Gugino, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Peter Weller, Matt Groove, JB Tadena, Corey Fogelmanis, and Karren Karagulian. Fincher is directing from a script penned by Tarantino, who has yet to announce his 10th and final film project.

The original film received high praise, with critic Karen Han noting that *Once Upon a Time … in Hollywood* is “easily the quietest and most meditative of [Tarantino’s] works,” culminating in a surprisingly tender moment that reframes the entire narrative as a love letter.

Additionally, a novelization titled *The Adventures of Cliff Booth* is set to be released by HarperCollins on Tuesday, December 8, further exploring Cliff Booth’s escapades.
